Personal branding: the secret that the gurus will never reveal
In consultations we are often asked for strategies to communicate better. Many want to learn how to use LinkedIn, start a blog or become influential on Twitter. Then, when we ask them, “What is your career goal?” or “What do you do exactly?”, they often do not know how to respond and say that they have to think about it.
The fact is that personal branding when you do not have a clear idea of who you are and where you want to go is simply not possible! Personal branding is not just a way to “make yourself beautiful” — it is a slow and complex process. Remember that having a great site, a nice profile photo and impressive slogans is not enough to have a consensus and be followed, because if there is no acknowledgement, the work done is useless and ineffective.
To reach a consensus, personal branding, especially when done online, requires social interaction. This will be a keyword for your reputation.
Personal Branding requires constant practice and commitment; reputation is not created alone, but requires valuable content, patience and a constant presence. In fact, it is a process that seems simple in theory, but is slow and complex in implementation.
Always remember that a reputation is built on three basic elements:
- the quality of work done
- the quality of relationships
- the audience feedback and results obtained
If these elements are well cared for you will see that your personal branding will be stable and difficult to attack.
We’ve mapped out for you some important tips that will help you manage your brand and to have more control in your business:
- Have an awareness of your identityand discover what sets you apart from others
- Define your targetand discover their tastes and needs
- Develop your own mantrawhich will be your guide
- Build yourself an image on social media that is useful for your target audience, and be steadfast and present in relationships, both online and offline
- Offervaluable content, both free and paid
- Do not think only of businessand money, but think also of what you contribute to others
- Keep your commitmentsand always do what you promise
- Be ready to reinvent yourselfby following the evolution of the market and your target
- Use communicationand keep your image consistent with the message that you want to send
- Use apersonal brand coach or STAND OUT,because building a personal brand yourself while continuing to do your job is extremely challenging.

This is the reason we created Stand Out: to provide an effective and useful solution unlike many others on the market that overpromise. As we’ve said, personal branding is a very long, demanding and continuous process, and doing it alone would mean spending more than half of your time working and living only for that. Before you put in the work it will also take a lot of time and money to get yourself up to date on the topics and for you to attend conferences on the subject. We will not only help you become knowledgeable, but we’ll make it easy for you to stay up to date and be able to monitor and assess first-hand the results you receive. What makes us different is that for the same price as a single personal coach you will have a whole team of professionals with years of experience for each specialization. From a young age, used to playing with foreign children, with the desire to become friends with them, I thought: “the mind is not made to communicate in only one language! ” That’s why I chose to travel, to study 5 foreign languages, and to examine communication in all its forms, from PNL to verbal and non-verbal language! I decided to grow these passions for language and for people, first in international TV journalism working with NBC News, then in a communication field even more current: the web and mobile. I have therefore become an expert on all the major social networks, and am up-to-date on all topics of webmarketing, social ads, lead generation, neuromarketing and personal branding.
A social media influencer on Twitter and Instagram, I am now leading the social media management for Stand Out and HRD Training Group and I write and coordinate the Stand Out blog.
