SOS Stalking is an association in Milan that gives support and legal assistance to victims of stalking and was founded in 2013 from an idea of lawyer Lorenzo Puglisi.
THE CHALLENGE
SOS Stalking created the first Italian app that allows victims of stalking to geolocalise themselves in case of emergency and contact the nearest police station. STAND OUT followed the emergence of the association and its communication before and after the app. STAND OUT’s goal was to give proper emphasis to the initiative, which was also sponsored by the Province of Milan, that allows you to be an active presence in the area and to offer a real service to the many victims.
THE SOLUTION
STAND OUT supported the creation of the app, contributing to its development and how it works, and then later attended to the communication and promotion of the application and of organizing the campaign. The agency was responsible for the spread of print and web news and communication activities of the SOS Stalking association, allowing for the emergence of a network of information and protection in the city of Milan. Collaboration with the Province of Milan allowed optimal coordination with the police and the call center set up to receive calls.
THE RESULTS
STAND OUT contributed to the launching of the app in national and local headlines and diffusion on the web, as well as creating a dedicated photographic campaign. Currently SOS Stalking is one of the associations of reference of the city of Milan against female violence.
