The Three Secrets to defining your personal branding
We have said repeatedly that “your brand is what people say about you when you’re not in the room,” a definition given by Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon, which is a model for branding that we like to recall often to help keep it fixed it in our minds!
According to this definition personal branding links our image, and therefore ourselves, to others and what they think of us. In this sense, personal branding is a concept that involves our identity in depth and regards above all the knowledge of others, their needs, their tastes and their values. Others, in fact, play a key role in recognizing the effectiveness of personal branding. Personal branding means standing out, and to do so there are necessary communication strategies to express yourself and your brand. The first step to success here is not to try to please everyone, as they are not all the same and being part of a community you must choose your target; as a result, it is normal to lose appeal for some.
We have found that it is very useful in the initial phase of meetings with our customers to help them to think about their identity and gain more awareness of who they are. As we do with our customers, we would now like to reveal three fundamental concepts with which to better define your personal branding:
1) Talent: find your talents, be clear about what you do best and what your strengths are, and how you are special and different from others.
2) Values: establish your values! The values that you have are not tangible but they determine the shape and strength of your actions over time. Reaching people and creating synergy with those who share your values gives you reliability and credibility in their eyes.
3) Mission: Define your mission. What’s your direction? Do you know where you’re going in life? Have you clearly defined your goals? Define who you are, where you are and where you’re going, and act always keeping in mind your goal, so that every action you make takes into account your final destination!
To clarify, these three concepts do not mean that having a personal branding strategy does not guarantee success, but it is a first step that will help you gain more awareness of yourself so that we can help you build a strong brand, have a better understanding of yourself and create empathy with your employees and with your customers.
Remember: to build a good personal brand it is important to start from within you, knowing yourself, knowing your background and you’ll see that you will then better understand those around you, too. In this way you will attract people who want what you do, the way you do it, and then you will be successful!

From a young age, used to playing with foreign children, with the desire to become friends with them, I thought: “the mind is not made to communicate in only one language! ” That’s why I chose to travel, to study 5 foreign languages, and to examine communication in all its forms, from PNL to verbal and non-verbal language! I decided to grow these passions for language and for people, first in international TV journalism working with NBC News, then in a communication field even more current: the web and mobile. I have therefore become an expert on all the major social networks, and am up-to-date on all topics of webmarketing, social ads, lead generation, neuromarketing and personal branding.
A social media influencer on Twitter and Instagram, I am now leading the social media management for Stand Out and HRD Training Group and I write and coordinate the Stand Out blog.
